| At 7.20 AM Lama Kunga Phuntsok arrived in Australia after a twelve hour flight from Hong Kong. This was a long time in the making and Lama will remain in Australia centre for two years to serve Rinpoche and the centre. He was welcomed by Ani Pema at the airport and later that evening 15 members and the STL commitee came to the centre for a welcoming dinner.
Linh Saunderson gave a formal welcome on behalf of the centre and lama Phuntsok resonded by saying how happy he is to be here. It later became apparent that lama's luggage has yet to arrive, so he was quickly offered toothbrushes and clothes to get by until his baggage shows up.
Lama is getting used to life in Australia, such as watching cricket and getting used to a bed that is much too high off the ground. |
